Jones Road Tree Service LLC, a TCIA Accredited company, has an immediate need for a tree crew Groundsman. The successful candidate should possess knowledge of tying and tree-industry knots, understand equipment safety using a chipper, stump grinder, and chain saw, provide ground support and respond to visual cues and hand signals from the climber, keep the work area clear of debris, clean up limbs and branches as they are brought down in tree cutting work, and proficiently organize branches and debris for loading into the chipper. The purpose of this position is to manage the crew on a daily basis, including ensuring efficiency and safety
Qualifications:

  1. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in a leadership position in the Tree Care Industry
  2. Teachable
  3. Attention to detail
  4. Positive attitude; good problem-solver
  5. Comfortable with multi-tasking but able to focus without being easily distracted
  6. Drivers License w/ ability to obtain CMV license

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervises and manages crew; leads by example
  2. Ensures that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
  3. Participates in and conducts all job site safety briefings with crew members
  4. Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment
  5. Understands and instructs crew members on proper job site security procedures; participates in all safety training sessions
  6. Ensures that all tree work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
  7. Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed
  8. Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction
  9. Understands financial aspects of each job assignment
  10. Supervises all crew members during the performance of all assigned work
  11. Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day
  12. Follows directions from supervisor
  13. Communicates well with all crew members, supervisor and client
  14. Monitors all tools equipment and machinery for needed maintenance

Jones Road Tree Service LLC, a TCIA Accredited company, is currently seeking a highly skilled crew foreman with a minimum of 5 years of production experience. ISA Certified Arborist & CTSP a plus. Must possess a class B CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months, training and leadership abilities, above average climbing, aerial lift and pruning skills, and advanced rigging and crane removal experience. The purpose of this position is to follow all Jones Road Tree Service and ANZI A300 pruning standards to prune or remove trees in a safe and efficient manner
Qualifications:

  1. Qualified candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in the Tree Care Industry
  2. Teachable, Attention to detail, Positive attitude, good problem-solver, Excellent communication skills
  3. Comfortable with multi-tasking but able to focus without being easily distracted
  4. Experience in: Heavy Lifting, Rope Running, Brush Dragging, Rigging Gear Set-up, Chipper Operation, Chainsaw Operation
  5. Trims and/or removes trees from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand-powered saws, pruner, etc.  Cuts branches or trunk sections and drops or lowers them to the ground with lines.
  6. Uses wedges, sledges, and chain saws in felling trees or trimmed trunks and in cutting and splitting logs into manageable pieces.
  7. Excellent knowledge of safety techniques, knots, climbing techniques, chainsaw operations
  8. Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper.
  9. Services gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools and other equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Performs other related work, as assigned by superiors.
  2. Participates in all job site safety briefings
  3. Ensures all required personal protective equipment is used
  4. Ensures that all tree work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
  5. Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed
  6. Works around hazardous equipment
  7. Works in all temperatures and weather and will be exposed to nature i.e., irritating plants and biting or stinging insects, and dust.
  8. Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day
  9. Follows directions from supervisor
  10. Works around excessive noise from machines, chain saw, wood chipper and other equipment, with hearing protection.
  11. Monitors all tools equipment and machinery for needed maintenance.
  12. Works on unlevel terrain at varying heights while secured.

  4. Tree Climbing Experience with/without spurs
  5. Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, or climbing line, or works from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand-powered saws, pruner, etc.  Cuts branches or trunk sections and drops or lowers them to the ground with lines.
  6. Uses wedges, sledges, and chain saws in felling trees or trimmed trunks and in cutting and splitting logs into manageable pieces.
  7. Excellent knowledge of safety techniques, knots, climbing techniques, and chainsaw operations
  8. Able to coach other climbers and crew members while on the job
  9. Repairs slight damage to lawns, fences, and walks caused by tree trimming.
  10. Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper.
  11. Services gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools and other equipment.

Qualifications
• This is a challenging year-round position requiring a desire to work outdoors, knowledge of plant I.D., pests, and diseases, as well as practical experience in spraying, fertilization, and IPM
• Ability to become a licensed spray operator

  4. Contact unapproved proposals
  5. QuickBooks Matching all Accounts Receivable
  6. Process credit card and check payments.
  7. Assist other office staff as needed.
